Here is a great kit I would put together for a young family
trying to capture memories as the years rush by.
The key is an easy to use camera so it's not a hassel to get the camera out frequently, and I would insist on a remote control so everyone can be in most of the snapshots! It seems one family member, mom, dad or an older child inevitably get's appointed official family photographer and that person is never seen in the family album again!
Everything shown here can be put together for less than $250.00. Buying used lets you save well over half the cost of new, and the C-60 will be a great family camera for years to come.
I like extra batteries so you can swap out and keep shooting while the spare recharges and extra memory so someone can go after prints before the out-of-town visitors have to leave.
